About Us
-MedYouthUnited is a student-run initiative dedicated to helping high schoolers research topics on various stem and medicine based fields, and develop their insight on various topics, while also gaining writing, graphic and editing skills.
-MYU was started by Grace Andino, sophomore, who values the importance of allowing teens to have accesible research resources.
-Frustrated with her own inaccessibility to research topics and space for her research to be displayed, She created an easy and accessible way for teens everywhere to obtain crucial skills for colleges, while also developing in other skills, like communnication and editing.
-MedYouthUnited is easy and obtainable to all, allowing users to easily access others research topics through a blog, and requires as little as 1 hr of work a week!
- Our goal is to provide highschool students with the ability to gain fundamental skills for college, while doing something that intrest them!

From the Founder:
As traditional forms of education like libraries and
literature are dear to my heart, it was extremely
disheartening to see the media’s bias towards equitable
literacy strides and the neglection of literacy: the current
threats to the DOE, budget cut threats to public libraries,
70% of children who read below their grade level, and decline
in standardized test scores. I began to wonder: why is literacy becoming desolate?
The answer stems from the current technological advancements, as AI is taking over the creativity of our youth, and we have machines thinking for our kids. Illiteracy continues to permeate the minds of our next generation of thinkers. With every technological advancement that brings us forward as a society, we are inadvertently chipping away at the intellectual benefits that come from paper writing and creative thinking.
Being literate can break economic and social constraints, lifting one higher with limitless opportunities in the work field, and media. While AI/ EdTech is not necessarily destructive, I believe a future of tailoring technology while preserving traditional forms of pen-to-paper writing can help keep literacy prevalent and in the loop.

MedYouthUnited’s writing kits are tailored to inspire a love of creative writing in a personal and unique kit. Each kit, filled with a Writing 101 pamphlet, notebook, pens, pencils, stickers, and toys, sets the precedent of hope for a literate generation.

If you or a school would like to be a receiver of these kits, don’t hesitate to contact medyouthunited@gmail.com.
Let’s continue to keep literacy alive, starting with one kit at a time.
